The European Environmental Bureau (EEB) is holding its annual conference at Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh, with a focus on environmental action in the context of the changing EU political landscape. Scottish Environment LINK - the Scottish member of the EEB - is organising the event in conjunction with the EEB.
In addition to broader questions about Brexit and diminishing environmental standards in the US, the conference will bring together members of the Scottish, EU and UK environmental community to share ideas on the challenges and opportunities on issues such as safeguarding the environment within Brexit negotiations, particularly in the unique case of Scotland, and the future of environmental law.
Sustainable development will be an overarching theme throughout the event, as discussions centre on fighting climate change, reforming public spending, agricultural policies, and safeguarding marine environments.
The event has received sponsorship from Scotland Europa members the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA), Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH), and Historic Environment Scotland (HES).
