Spaces are still available for Scotland Europa’s annual EU Insight Familiarisation Programme, which is open to members and non-members seeking to develop their capacity to build productive relationships and engage effectively at EU level in our changing context.
Scotland Europa will deliver presentations on Brexit and on other EU policy and funding developments of interest to participants. Participants will hear first-hand insights from representatives from third countries with different relationships with the EU - such as Switzerland, Norway, and New Zealand - on how they engage with the EU and EU partners, participate in funding programmes, and trade with the EU. There will also be a session with our partners - including ERRIN and the City of London Corporation - on practical examples of networking and influencing, and opportunities to meet with the Scottish MEPs and other representatives from EU institutions.
Please get in touch if there are any areas you are particularly interested in learning about during the programme. Scotland Europa colleagues are also available to facilitate individual meetings between members and other organisations before or after the official programme, to help members make the most of their time in Brussels.
As in previous years, Scotland Europa will charge an overall fee for the 1.5 day programme, to cover overnight accommodation and catering costs. This year, we have negotiated a new rate for the accommodation costs, making it cheaper than previous programmes. Organisations which are not currently members of Scotland Europa can also take part in the programme for an additional fee. For more information, and to register, please contact Eleanor McKeegan.
