Space: Research and Innovation opportunities in Horizon 2020

On the 6th September the University of the West of Scotland, in collaboration with Innovate UK and Scotland Europa will host an Information Day dedicated to the research and innovation funding opportunities for the Space community via the Horizon 2020 programme.

The workshop will focus on both the current opportunities detailed within the Space Work Programme (which has an allocated budget of over €100 million for the 2019) as well as those detailed elsewhere within Horizon 2020.

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn more about the upcoming call topics and application process.
  • Discuss project ideas on a 1-1 basis with Catherine Holt, the UK Horizon 2020 National Contact Point.
  • Hear from successful applicants and others interested in the upcoming call for applications.

The workshop is ideally timed and provides and opportunity to further develop your application and organisation profile ahead of other European brokerage events.

The workshop will be of interest to both Businesses, Universities and other researchers who have an interest in:

  • Earth observation
  • Space business, entrepreneurship, outreach and education
  • Space technologies, science and exploration
  • Secure and safe space environment
