The iKEN Live Chats are a new online event series where you'll get the chance to connect with experts in other cities in real time - without leaving your desk.
iKEN (the Ideas & Knowledge Exchange Network) is a digital collaboration platform for the most innovative cities in Europe, the iCapital awards finalists. The network was developed and is administered by the city of Glasgow.
The first iKEN Live Chat will be held at 2pm BST on Thursday, April 4 on the digital platform - simply register or log in and access Slack, where the discussion will take place in the 'General' channel.
The first chat will focus on how Glasgow City Council uses open innovation practices to rethink how we design and deliver human-centred public services.
The discussion will be led by John Campbell, Development Officer, and Stevie McGowan, Creative Design Lead, from Glasgow City Council. John and Stevie will share how the council is embracing open innovation (OI) practices in service design to support the city’s ambitious inclusive growth agenda; highlighting major OI programmes in digital telecare and public transport access.
